From the recording Sheldon Street Trio

Sheldon Street Trio was composed by David Dolatowski in 2014 for a faculty recital at Yavapai College in Prescott, AZ, USA. The college happens to be on Sheldon St. The piece is scored for Flute, Oboe and Clarinet in B-flat. The piece has both tonal and atonal aspects with it’s own unique harmonies. All players share melodic and harmonic material, and are treated equally.

Movement I At 96 bpm , is based on a motive, or theme which is developed throughout.

Movement II at 108 bpm contains much counterpoint, keeping to a developed motive. The movement ends in a much more homophonic texture and a slightly surprising end.

Movement III moves a bit slower, with more focus on harmonic material.
