Capriccio Southwest is a light hearted, whimsical piece for solo piano in one movement. It was composed by David Dolatowski in Prescott, Arizona, USA.( 2014) The work is based on a two measure theme which is developed throughout. Although light hearted in nature, there are a number of dramatic climax points along the way. This capriccio, although atonal, was inspired by the JS Bach two and tree part inventions.
